Over on boing boing local science man Rudy Rucker wrote an article on a few new pieces over at the SF Moma, one being a large brightly colored canvas by Frank Stella that I absolutely love.

You should also check out the exhibition by the completely awesome William Kentridge ’cause it closes at the end of this month and it’s 100% awesome. Freaky wierd art hooray!

Have a bike? Have a work?
If you answered with a double yes I expect, and hope, to be seeing you on your simple machine celebrating “Bike to Work Day” with other lovers of the velo on Thursday, May 14. Yes, that’s tomorrow! Hooray!
Until a few months ago I was not the bike everywhere sort. It took a while to build up my often needed “I own this road” confidence and the average amount of know-how I now posses. Today I am car free and all about riding my wonderful Soma Doublecross, Diana, almost anywhere I need to go. She makes getting around this beautiful city anything but a chore.
I know there are a lot of worries associated with riding a bike in a fast moving city. For my first few rides thoughts of “Eep! What if I get sweaty and stink up my whole office?” to “Ah! What if I get hit by a delivery truck full of frozen waffles?” crossed my mind more than once.
In an effort to help give these fears a swift kick in the ass with good ol’ fashioned knowledge and preparedness here are a few bike related tidbits to make your journey all the more peaceful.
Have fun tomorrow my dears, and be safe!
Will you be partaking in the bike to work greatness tomorrow?
